The idea for the composition of these sculptures arose without being sought. It is about giving life to loose pieces, mainly made of wood, which are collected from the waste of the work carried out by the various cabinetmakers in the town.
The aim is to give meaning back to something that would otherwise have been destroyed, thrown away or burned, and to show that the beauty of any object considered useless remains in the will of ingenuity.
None of the pieces have been modified or carved at all. They remain just as they were collected when they were found discarded as unusable. The only change they have undergone, if you can call it change, has been their assembly with other pieces of the same origin.
There are also some photographs of minimalist compositions in which pieces that have always been manufactured by hand, not industrially, have been used.
We hope that these pieces awaken in you a spark of recognition of the value of everything that surrounds us and that often goes unnoticed.
